Cibo. It's a purpose built Italian restaurant that doesn't suit it's surrounding. To go to Cibo you'll likely be travelling by car because of where it is but that doesn't stop anyone. Oven log fire, tasteful live music some nights and a very classy menu. The waiters at Cibo are world class and I suspect they're encouraged to be humorous whilst remaining incredibly professional and efficient; I've even seen them doing playful magic tricks for customers. The restaurant has so much space it genuinely adds to the whole experience and to the comfort you'll enjoy whilst dining here. You'll see from the pictures how nice and open it is and they don't even do it justice. As for the food, it's far better than it ought to be for the fairly low prices. I think it's the immense value for money that earns Cibo 5 stars. The high standard of food is so consistent and so well refined they really could charge about 15% more to eat there.
Visited here today for lunch after a recommendation from a friend. Lunch menu and main menu offered. Good choice in both. Service was lovely and friendly. Food delivered quickly and tasted fabulous. Well priced (especially the lunch menu). A 5 star experience.

By far the best restaurant of its kind for many a mile. Every time I eat here Im always consistently delighted with the quality of food. The staff are always very friendly and they have cobra on tap...
Food was great, big portions so careful not to order too much as we did. Eyes where too big for our bellies. Food was great and great value for money. Meal for 3 people was £85

I've eaten in most of the Italians in and around Edinburgh and this is by far the most authentic and tasty. The menu is a little overwhelming at first but I've tried the pastas, pizza, veal, burgers etc. And all are really tasty. The pastas are fresh and the sauces all have depth of flavour that is missing from most sauces in other restaurants. We eat here often. They always have at least one special. One of which was a squid ink sauce with prawns that I really hope they make again. Very friendly staff and appears to be family run.
As a surprise birthday meal and first visit to Little Italy I thought the food was very good and the service second to none. Will definitely visit again.
